WHY?

For most of us in the world (government firewalls somewhat dependent) a blog is a rare space where any person with any experiences can say whatever they want to anyone who cares to stop by, and nobody else is trying to make money off our doing so. This is a huge luxury, easy to forget when we sell ourselves to marketers on scroll-friendly apps. I want to connect this way and open new dialogues. _______________ I have a lot of photographs and in the time of covid it has become even more poignant to remember how freely we once took for granted our movements. I need a reason to learn how to improve my photography but I also want a place to share them and I have finally accepted I'm not going to make all my pictures into print books. _______________ I have written many essays in my travels and I also want to hone them and open them up for discussion and evaluation. They were written in different times and places and the lens of time is cruel to some of my ideas, but brings to others fresh feeling. Also, I'm going to lose the notebooks I wrote these things into if I don't get on with it!
